Recruitment of Professional Sales people is a challenging aspect for any business and one is often tempted to opt for the cheapest option. After several unsuccessful attempts using an in-house approach as well as other supposedly less expensive recruitment options to fill the role for a professional, seasoned Sales Consultant for our Service business, I was referred to Lomas Executive by a business associate.
The cost relating to time, advertising, lost sales opportunity and what appeared to be ‘cheaper fees’ etc were significant and we were still left with no one in the role. Susie Loams took the brief with a clear understanding of what was required from a character/profile, skills and job perspective. A well written advert attracted the right calibre of applicant and I was left with a choice absolutely suitable candidates. The result has been more than pleasing with the Sales Consultant in place within a month of the brief being given and achieving their required target in only the second month of employment. Our targets, whist set at stretch limits are achievable but for the past 14 months no sales consultant has been successful in reaching their targets. The third month produced a performance level equal to 144% over target with the successive months consistently delivering an above target level of performance.
